Since the 1940s, plastics have become one of the most used type of basic materials due to their lightness, low cost and strong plasticity. More than 350 billion tonnes of plastic is produced every year in the world for industry and life. As of today, only 9% of plastic is recycled, and an estimated 80% end up in landfill and our waterways. 

The "white pollution" caused by the refractory characteristics has caused huge pressure on the ecological environment. The most notable feature of white pollution is that it is difficult to degrade. Plastics invented 100 years ago will not be degraded until at least 300 years later.

At Carbonbelle, our commitment to environmental sustainability is reflected in the way recycled polyester significantly minimises energy consumption, especially when contrasted with the resource-intensive methods of traditional cotton production. We are dedicated to fostering the adoption of recycled polyester throughout the production chain. By doing so, we not only contribute to the reduction of plastic waste by granting discarded bottles a new purpose as everyday essentials but also actively promote a more eco-conscious approach to manufacturing.
